French Stoneware Utensil Jar, Salt Glazed, imperfect
These are imperfect: Some irregularities in the glaze texture and coverage, especially on one side. Some roughness from the glazing process. FINAL SALE.
A vintage French utensil jar crafted of Loire Valley clay and fired in the traditional salt glaze, giving the exterior an iridescent finish.
Manufactured by the craftsmen at Poterie Renault, a five generation family-run company, which produced exquisite ceramics in the Loire Valley from 1865 until 2016. When the factory closed their doors, the remaining stock was left untouched until today. Extremely limited supply.
NOTE: The salt glaze is a natural process with which causes subtle differences in color, finish, and texture. No two pieces are alike, which is part of the charm.
